Last year, we started something new in Woodstock—and you helped make it a tradition.
The Family of Woodstock Turkey Trot is back for its second year!
Join your friends, neighbors, families, runners, walkers, and Thanksgiving visitors for a fun and scenic 5K through Woodstock before the turkey goes in the oven.
We’re sticking with our gentle, scenic 5K course that’s mostly flat with a few small hills to get your heart pumping. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a go-at-your-own-pace walker, or just out for a good time, you’ll be cheered on every step of the way by enthusiastic volunteers.
And just like last year, you’ll be well-supported every step of the way, with enthusiastic volunteers, clear course signage, and assistance from the town to help keep the race safe and enjoyable.
Most importantly, when you participate, you’re helping Family of Woodstock continue to answer the phone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for people facing a crisis.
Race Timing and Medals
Yes—it will be timed!
We’ve partnered with a professional race-timing company to provide official chip timing through runner bibs. Results will be posted quickly following the race and shared with local media. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age group per gender (F/M) and the top three overall finishers per gender (F/M).

Turn-by-Turn Directions:
- Start at Andy Lee Field parking area
- Head north on Rock City Road to Glasco Turnpike
- Turn Rt. on Glasco Turnpike
- Turn around at Plochman Lane and head back on Glasco Turnpike
- Turn Left on Rock City Road
- End at finish line at Andy Lee Field
