Program News

In 2024-2025 the Ulster County Reentry Task Force graduated 19 participants in our Ready, Set, Work! program. This program equips participants with essential skills, including basic budgeting, opening and managing checking accounts, and recognizing the key attributes required to meet employers’ expectations. It also helps individuals identify their positive qualities and interests that align with potential career paths. Participants develop statements about their criminal convictions to confidently address such topics during job interviews. Additionally, they learn how to identify employment opportunities, conduct job searches, and complete applications.

We have been able to assist people with stabilization upon coming home from incarceration. This looks different for everybody. In Spring of 2025, we were able to assist two individuals with gaining employment and sustainable long-term housing, numerous people with clothing, hygiene items and transportation to needed appointments and navigating the department of social services system.
