One Billion Rising
Saturday February 13th, 2016, 7am-7pm
This year we are “ENLARGING, DEEPENING AND EXPANDING” the call for REVOLUTION, harnessing our COLLECTIVE ENERGY, and connecting our BODIES with the REVOLUTION.
“The struggle of humanity is the struggle to return to our bodies. Through trauma, cruelty, shame, oppression, violence, rape, and exclusion, the body of the human species has been hurt, wounded, and we have been forced to flee our bodies.”
Through yoga, meditation, dance and many more healing modalities, we will join in this year’s Revolution bringing about a “new kind of consciousness – one where violence will be resisted until it is unthinkable.”
Join us for a celebration of ourselves and our ability to empower and assist others through COMMUNITY, CARING and REVOLUTION. Teachers and healers from around the county will be donating their classes for the day with all proceeds going to support the Washbourne House, Family’s shelter which houses and supports survivors of domestic violence.
Suggested Donation – $40 for full enjoyment of any and all classes a part of this REVOLUTION. The complete schedule will be announced soon. Tickets can be purchased in advance beginning Saturday, January 23rd at any participating location or the day of the event.
