An Evening with Michael Berg | Celebrating a Lifetime of Service
For more than five decades, Family of Woodstock has been a place where people have found compassion, support, and practical help during some of life’s most difficult moments. What began as a single volunteer-run crisis hotline has grown into a network of more than 25 programs serving more than 50,000 people each year. Throughout that remarkable journey, Michael Berg has provided the steady leadership, vision, and humility that helped shape Family into the organization it is today.
This fall, Michael will step down as Executive Director after a lifetime of service to Family and the community. We invite you to join family, friends, colleagues, community partners, elected officials, and supporters for an evening celebrating the extraordinary impact Family of Woodstock has had over the past 56 years and recognizing Michael’s role in helping make that work possible.

Guests will enjoy a gourmet buffet featuring regional cuisine prepared by the exceptional culinary team at Diamond Mills Resort, along with live jazz by award-winning pianist Bruce Katz. The evening will also include a brief video featuring staff, volunteers, clients, and community members sharing what Family has meant to them, as well as a few special surprises.
Most importantly, the celebration will provide an opportunity to spend time with Michael, thank him for his decades of dedicated leadership, and reflect on the countless lives that have been changed because Family of Woodstock was there when people needed it most.
With so many people touched by Family’s work—and by Michael’s leadership—we expect this celebration to sell out. We encourage you to reserve your tickets early and join us for this special evening of gratitude, reflection, and celebration.
