If you want a job helping others in our community The Darmstadt Shelter needs reliable people to fill in as needed for various shifts. There is a possibility of advancement in this position.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Transport clients to appointments in company vehicle.
- Assist in the kitchen as needed.
- Answer phone calls.
- Conduct intakes, maintain records, and log all activity.
Qualifications
- Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License along with reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass CPS Clearance; and be able to clear NYS Justice Center Fingerprinting background clearance.
- An interest and/or some experience in human services, working with homeless and mental health populations is helpful.
- Good boundaries, communication and organizational skills are necessary.
- Must complete Agency’s 44 hr. Crisis Training as well as basic First Aid.
Hours and Pay Rate
Hours vary based on need and availability.
Pay rate is:
$16.48 daytime
$18.48 overnight shifts
