Family Celebrates “Dia de la Comunidad”

Recently, the Spanish Help Line celebrated its Día De La Comunidad with great success! Family distributed over 80 backpacks filled with school supplies to local children, and we expect more families to pick up bags at our office. Within a week, we will have successfully donated over 100 bags and supplies!

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the support of various individuals within our agency. Special thanks to Angely and Elvi in our Spanish Services program, who selflessly volunteered their time a few hours before the event to help with setup. Their dedication and hard work ensured a smooth and successful celebration. They also presented valuable information to our Spanish-speaking community during the event.

We are very grateful for the generous donations from:

Camp Kingston (coffee)

We also appreciate the participation of the following agencies:

– UIDN
La Voz

All participating agencies reported a positive experience, with many leaving with referrals and having provided crucial information to our community.

In addition, generous donations of supplies and monetary contributions from the community made this all possible. If you contributed, know that your support has made a significant impact on children’s lives and we are grateful for your kindness.

If you would like to support efforts to help our Spanish-speaking neighbors, please consider a donation to our General Fund and make the donation In Tribute to Our Spanish Speaking Neighbors. Gracias!
