Special Assistant to the Executive Director

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist with grant applications and reports to local, state, and federal funding sources and private foundations
• Facilitate the submission of grant applications and reports utilizing various electronic grants management systems
• Provide ongoing administrative support including correspondence and filing.
• Assist with daily scheduling and project planning.
• Maintain ongoing agency calendars
• Provide administrative support, scheduling and other administrative assistance to the agency’s Board of Directors
• Maintain and distribute minutes for meetings
• Research regional and national foundation grant opportunities and maintain an ongoing database of prospective funders
• Research and maintain a database of relevant statistics, demographic and other community trends
• Facilitate the submission of grant applications and reports utilizing various electronic grants management systems
• Support the agency’s public relations efforts, including the development of content for the agency’s website, newsletter, press releases, social media accounts, brochures, and other collateral

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Three years’ experience working in a related position or at least five years of experience working in an administrative office environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communications skills, especially writing (samples available upon request) br>• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especial Excel, Word and Outlook along with G Suite
• Accurate typing/dictation skills
• Experience with social media community management and content development

PREFERRED

• Background in human services
• Grants management experience
• Business writing
• Hand-on use of web/video conference systems such as WebEx, Teams and Zoom
• Public relations and communications background
• CRM or Donor management systems familiarity

Hours and Pay Rate

This is a full-time, exempt position based at Family of Woodstock’s Kingston office at 31 Albany Ave.

The rate of pay for this position is: $48,234 per year and includes fully funded health, dental and vision insurance, generous time away allowance and other benefits.
