Responsibilities and Duties
· Follows all agency administrative and programmatic policies and procedures.
· Attends train the trainer sessions, webinars, trainings, and meetings to keep abreast of changes in the childcare field.
· Promotes CCR&R services to the public through visibilities and materials distribution.
· Review and process family day care and school age child care applications
· Maintain all application timeframes
· Maintain a good working relationship with the Day Care Subsidy and OCFS Regional Office staff to facilitate the smooth flow of application/inspection/complaint/enforcement
· Input all appropriate data and run all necessary reports from Child Care Facility System according to timelines
· Inspect registered providers to ensure health and safety of children in care at least quarterly and as needed according to OCFS contract and/or program needs
· Coordinate and counsel families’ needs/requests on Child Care Information and Referral Services
· Conduct 100% of Referral Follow up attempts, strive for at least 20% return rate
· Complete 100% of Child Care provider full program updates in person, virtually, email or mail annually and program vacancy updates quarterly
· Maintain comprehensive and accurate childcare database (Parent, Provider, Community)
· Maintain accurate, organized, and timely records
· Offer Basic Technical Assistance and Intensive Technical Assistance
· Recruit registered childcare providers throughout the county
· Recruit CACFP participants from childcare providers
· Compile required data for End of Month statistical reports by the 5th of each month
· Work cooperatively in a team environment and maintain a positive work environment
· Work cooperatively with team to develop, organize and present ongoing training for childcare providers, agency staff, parents and the community
· Provide relevant information to the quarterly newsletter for parents, providers and community
· Maintain confidentiality in regard to staff, community, family and provider information
· Attend all required agency, OCFS and program trainings and meetings at various locations wherever they may be located
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. (Associate degree considered with direct experience.)
· Experience providing outreach and working with adults.
· Strong communication and organizational skills needed.
· Successful completion of Comprehensive Background Clearance
· Computer, Phone, and Clerical skills
· Able to lift 50lbs
· Must have a reliable vehicle for site visits
· Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred
Hours and Pay Rate
This is a full-time, 40-hours per week position based at Family of Woodstock’s Kingston office at 31 Albany Ave.
The rate of pay for this position is: $18.13/hour and includes agency-funded health insurance and other benefits.
