Overview
This position is twofold:
– Assists families looking for childcare and parenting
resources, while keeping in contact with regulated childcare programs.
– Administering the Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP), by conducting monitoring visits and submitting monthly menu claims.
Responsibilities and Duties
- – Be knowledgeable with Child Care Regulations, Social Services Law, Legally Exempt Regulations, CACFP Regulations and all Policies and Procedures
- – Coordinate and counsel families’ needs/ requests on Child Care Information and Referral Services
- – Market/advertise and outreach CCR&R services to families, community groups and businesses
- – Conduct 100% of Referral Follow up attempts, strive for at least 20% return rate
- – Complete 100% of Child Care provider full program updates in person, virtually, email or mail annually and program vacancy updates quarterly
- – Maintain comprehensive and accurate childcare database (Parent, Provider, Community)
- – Work cooperatively with team to develop, organize and present ongoing training for childcare providers, agency staff, parents and the community
- – Offer Intensive Technical Assistance according to program director/team leader directive associated with milestones
- – Manage Child Care Connections email and voicemail distribution
- – Review, approve, and maintain current menus, enrollments, income eligibility and attendance for CACFP monthly claim for Homes, Center and Summer Food sites.
- – Conduct required CACFP site visits according to timeline for Homes, Centers and Summer Food sites. (3-4 visits per program annually)
- – Provide annual and ongoing training in the topic of CACFP/Summer Foods program administration for Homes, Centers and Summer Food sites
Qualifications
- – AA degree in Early Childhood Education or Nutrition/related field & experience
- – Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation
- – Able to keep accurate and current records
- – Organizational skills
- – Computer skills
- – Ability to lift 50/bs
Hours and Pay Rate
This is a full-time, in-person position at 40 hours per week with full benefits including health insurance. Some evenings and weekends may be required. Located at 31 Albany Ave., Kingston.
Pay rate: $18.13 per hour
