HomeShare Woodstock carefully brings together Home Seekers and Home Providers,
creating a Match that offers a variety of help in the home in exchange for an affordable
rental. HomeShare Woodstock’s mission is – Connecting home providers and home
seekers to help people remain in their communities, strengthen bonds between
neighbors, and create mutually beneficial, affordable housing solutions.
HomeShare Woodstock, now in its third year, serves communities in Northern Ulster County. We
are expanding our service area to the City of Kingston and creating the position of Program
Manager to oversee the home sharing program for Kingston residents. This position will work
with the Advisory Board and the Program Director for HomeShare Woodstock in helping to
establish and run the program in Kingston
Responsibilities and Duties
– Supervise implementation of the home sharing program’s expansion into the Kingston
community. Interact collaboratively to accomplish the goals set by the Advisory Board,
utilizing the volunteer skills and interests of board members and other program
volunteers.
– Establish and maintain records following the structure of HomeShare Woodstock to
enable ease of sharing
– Outreach to community groups to create a broad awareness and understanding of the
home share model and access for Kingston. Manage public relations efforts including
social media in collaboration with HomeShare Woodstock.
– Using protocols set forth by FOW, continue and enhance confidential management of
information personal data, and data protections and use.
– Manage budget and create plan for funding future years including foundation, state and
Federal funding where appropriate. Grant writing and ongoing fund raising required.
– Generate monthly and quarterly reports, appropriate to varied audiences as determined
with Program Director.
– Monitor matches to ensure their viability and continued satisfaction.
– Communicate on a regular basis to Advisory Board.
– Respond to electronic and other forms of communication promptly and professionall
Qualifications
- – Supervisory experience with volunteers
– Program administration background
– Public speaking experience and skill in public communication through writing
– Spreadsheet and other computer skills
– Experience in a collaborative environment
– Spanish proficiency a plus
Hours and Pay Rate
This is a 30-hours per week position based at Family of Woodstock’s Kingston office at 31 Albany Ave.
Pay for this position is $39,227 per year and includes agency-funded health/dental insurance, and other benefits.
