2019 Woodstock Guitar Sculpture Auction – 50 Guitars for Woodstock’s 50th
Founded by guitarist, artist, carpenter, Rennie Cantine, the Woodstock Guitar Sculpture Exhibition is a public art display of 50 guitar sculptures using a wooden template designed and made by Rennie. Artists are sponsored by local businesses or themselves. The sculptures will be displayed mounted on metal stands throughout the Village of Woodstock, NY, July – October 2019. There will be an online auction while the sculptures are on display culminating with a live auction at the end of the exhibition.

All proceeds from the auction, after expenses, will go to the Family of Woodstock Crisis Hotline, the John Herald Fund and the artists.

We’ve also set up an online auction for those who won’t be able to attend the live auction. Here’s that link:

The Family of Woodstock 24-Hour Crisis Hotline,Textline and Walk-In Center at 16 Rock City Road, Woodstock, NY is the oldest continuously operating 24-hour program of its kind in the U.S. The establishment of Family in 1970 is directly connected to the influx of young people to the town of Woodstock after the 1969 festival.

The John Herald Fund for musicians and artists in need was established by friends of musician John Herald to help musicians and artists in Ulster County, NY with seemingly small needs which like a car repair, fuel bill or emergency medical care. John Herald was one of many musicians who performed to benefit Family over the years. Though not a staff member, he was always ready to help others in need.
