*TEEN INTERVENE* A brief intervention for substance-abusing adolescents
WHAT IS TEEN INTERVENE? Teen Intervene is a tested, time-efficient, evidence based program for teenagers (12-19 years old) suspected of experiencing mild or moderate problems associated with alcohol or other drug use; the program can include their parents or guardians but it is not required.
Teen Intervene offers the adolescent a chance to discuss their drug use/abuse, how it influences their daily lives, reasons for using, and helps to identify healthy alternatives to use. Teen Intervene can be administered in two or three sessions (the Parent/Guardian Session is recommended but not required).
Each session lasts about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Teen Intervene is a program offered by Family of Woodstock, Inc. There is no cost to participate.
