Youth Employment Program

Hodge Community Center Summer Meals ProgramFamily of Woodstock, a United Way Agency, in conjunction with the Ulster County Office of Employment and Training (OET), runs the Youth Employment Program (YEP). This program assists participants in developing work readiness skills, advancing their education, and/or to attain training to further their employment opportunities and begin to plan for a career. In addition, youth will be assisted with acquiring and retaining employment.

Are you or someone you know between the ages of 16 and 24 and a resident of Ulster County?
Are you out of school?
Are you having troubling finding employment?
Are you interested in taking a BOCES class and need some assistance with funding?

The Youth Employment Program can help you obtain: BOCES Certifications, High School Equivalency, Paid Work Experience, Monetary Incentives, Mentoring, and so much more!

Program Goal: To assist primarily older, out of school youth to meet the Department of Labor goals, including: resuming, advancing and/or completing their education; gaining work and life skills; achieving a vocational certification; developing a career vision; and finding gainful employment with the guidance and support of program staff.
