Hidden In Plain Sight Training
This interactive training is in partnership with the Ulster Prevention Council, and is open to all providers and the parents of the children in their program, as well as the community. A mock teen bedroom with a number of different drug stash items, items that reference drug culture, and items that indicate self-harm, will be created for training participants to walk through, explore, and try to decipher possible drug paraphernalia. After a chance to explore the room, discussion will be held focusing on how drug use is not always obvious, how quickly drug trends change, and how to speak to children about drug use and self-harm.
