Family of Woodstock Volunteer Orientation
Monday, June 15th, 2015, 12pm-1pm
Family of Woodstock, 39 John Street, Kingston, NY
Learn about the many ways you can be a part of Family. Whether helping out at one of our walk-in centers in Ellenville, New Paltz or Woodstock, answering the Hotline, working with our Events Team or helping to landscape or paint one of the shelters, volunteers show that people care. Family can always use help at our fundraising events. Have fun and help out at the same time! That simple human connection is a powerful healer. FAMILY welcomes volunteers all year round. You may know someone who volunteers with FAMILY already. Many of your neighbors staff our 24-hour Hotlines at FAMILY’S three Walk In Centers. Others garden, run food drives and provide professional services. They offer cooking and art classes and mentor our clients in their job searches. Volunteers give our services a very special quality. Volunteering at Family has tremendous benefits: It’s a great way to get to know people in your community. It’s a chance to learn new skills while making a difference. It’s a way to contribute where you live. Ready to get started? Join us on Monday June 15th at our administrative office at 39 John Street in Kingston from 12-1pm and become a part of Family. Contact Kelly or Beth at 331-7080 or email@example.com to register.

This is truly a special community event and is only made possible thanks to people like you who contribute their time and energy to making sure we have a successful event. Please consider helping with the event planning this year- we need you!
The planning committee meets approximately once per month until late May, when our meetings are more frequent leading up to the event. I know that you are all very busy people, so meetings will not last longer than 1.5 hours and much of the planning is done via emails and phone calls. If you can't make it to the meetings, there are many other ways you can help out!

FAMILY’s Big $$$ Raffle 2015
Would you like to win $20,000 and support a great cause? FAMILY’s Big $$$ Raffle, our major fundraiser of the year, is back again and offers a Grand Prize of $20,000, and include, in total $32,800 in prizes! The festivities will be held at HITS (Horse Shows in the Sun): Early Bird Drawing on Sunday, July 26th 3:30pm; and the Big $$$ Drawing on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 4:30pm.
Through the generosity of Tom Struzzieri and HITS, everyone who purchases a raffle ticket will receive free admission to the SAUGERTIES $1 Million Dollar Grand Prix, presented by WELLS FARGO and the CONCERT that follows. Stay tuned for the announcement of the guest artist for this year! Come early and watch some of the most skilled riders and their beautiful horses compete for the Saugerties Grand Prize. Stay after the drawing and dance to the music. It’s a wonderful event for a great cause!
The Big $$$ Raffle is Family’s major fundraiser and supports all of Family’s services. Family is a network of individuals, paid and volunteer, whose mission is to provide confidential, fully accessible crisis intervention, information, prevention, and support services. We believe that the common ground which unites us, both helper and helped, is greater than the differences which divide us, and that everyone deserves the respect and support of our larger community.
We don’t have to tell you that with your help, Family provides essential services throughout our community and we will never quit finding ways to make a difference. Buy one ticket for $50.00, buy five and get a sixth free… go in with four of your friends… or get a group to buy tickets together. You do need not be present to win. Come celebrate with us at HITS in Saugerties on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 4:30pm and witness the drawing of the main prizes. Your support makes a huge difference.
To purchase tickets, fill out this form or call (845) 331-7080.
