Youth Mental Heath First Aid Training
Saturday November 10th, 2018, 9am-5pm
Christ Lutheran Church
26 Mill Hill Road, Woodstock

The stigma surrounding mental health challenges often prevents people from seeking help or even acknowledging that they need help. And if they do want help, they often don’t know where to turn.

Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is an 8 hour public education program which introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents ages 13-18.

YMHFA emphasizes the importance of early intervention and covers how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge.

YMHFA is designed to teach anyone 16 years or older including parents, family members, caregivers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers and other caring citizens, to learn how to help young people.

The training is being offered by Family of Woodstock for our community. Training will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 26 Mill Hill Road in Woodstock, Saturday November 10th, 2018. Training starts promptly at 9 am. There is parking in front and behind the church. We will be upstairs in the back building. Training will end at 5pm.

To register for the training, please call 679-2485.
