Would you like to help increase access to nutritious foods in your own communities? If so, please join us for one of the following upcoming Volunteer Orientations: Monday April 3rd, 2017, 10-11:30am at Family of Woodstock, Inc., 39 John Street, Kingston, or Tuesday May 2nd, 10-11:30am, Family of Ellenville, 21 Canal St, Ellenville. Family of Woodstock, Inc. is proud to partner with local food pantries, soup kitchens, and feeding programs to recruit, train and manage volunteers to build the capacity of food pantries and related hunger relief initiatives in Kingston and throughout the County. The Kingston Orientation will include presentations by Angel Food East, Caring Hands Soup Kitchen, People’s Place Food Pantry, and the Rondout Valley Growers Association Farm to Food Pantry Program. The Ellenville Orientation will include opportunities to assist with the Family of Ellenville Community Garden, Hotline, Food Pantry and Farm to Food Pantry Program. You’ll learn about the many opportunities to help support and grow local initiatives to address food insecurity and improve the quality of food available to those in need in our community.
