Street Outreach Program
(845) 331-7080
Finding hard-to-reach people and sharing information that could prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS is the mission of FAMILY'S Street Outreach Program. You might notice FAMILY'S Street Outreach Coordinator, in your community, handing out literature or condoms and having conversations with people on the street about information and services that might help them.
People who are most at risk for HIV infection include those who are homeless, often because they are involved with substance abuse. If we can talk to them, encourage them to use condoms, and alert them to their health risks and to available resources, then we can slow the spread of AIDS and HIV infection in our community.
Stop by our John Street office in Kingston or the Family Walk-In Centers in Ellenville, New Paltz, or Woodstock to speak to a Case Manager or simply to pick up condoms, free of charge.
FAMILY'S Street Outreach Program and FAMILY'S Case Managers are available for educational presentations about HIV and AIDS to community agencies, community corrections programs, schools, and other organizations in both English and Spanish.
